OUR STORY
Chef Kay is a proud Florida native, raised in West Palm Beach, and a graduate of Twin Lakes High School. She then attended college in Jacksonville, where her love for hospitality first began while working in restaurants to pay her way through college. After returning to South Florida, she made Boca Raton her home, building her career under the guidance of industry leaders Denise Max and Burt Rappoport. Alongside her professional growth, Kay raised her daughter as a single mom, and today she still proudly calls Boca Raton home.
Her catering career began in 1999 as an administrative assistant, but her passion quickly propelled her into the role of catering director. It was there she discovered her true calling: creating custom menus and unforgettable memories for clients.
That passion blossomed into the launch of Kay’s Corner in 2017—a boutique catering company built around Chef Kay’s love of cooking, gardening, and hosting. Serving Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe counties, Kay’s Corner specializes in private parties, celebrations, and corporate events that are as personal as they are exquisite.
At Kay’s Corner, every event is carefully designed. Chef Kay personally collaborates with each client to craft tailored menus—often featuring fresh ingredients from her own aeroponic garden—alongside specialty décor and thoughtful details that set the stage for one-of-a-kind experiences. Just as satisfying as serving her clients, Chef Kay finds immense joy in building a team of dedicated, passionate individuals and watching them grow within the hospitality industry.
